Workplace Restoration (WR) is a transparent and collaborative process of renewing, restoring, and re-energizing workplace culture. Just as individuals need breaks from their lives to reflect, rejuvenate, and re-energize, so too do workplaces. Often this is in response to a significant negative event (like COVID), or because of a series of unaddressed issues, but WR can also be initiated in a proactive way to ensure the organization stays healthy.
If your team or organization has faced a formal investigation, dealt with bullying or harassment, is declining in morale or productivity, or been through a difficult change or loss, workplace restoration practices help rebuild trust and positivity.
Workplace Restoration includes:
- Developing an overall restoration strategy that is transparent, collaborative and builds trust.
- Providing a safe place for everyone to feel heard and make sense of experiences.
- Uncovering how everyone views their workplace culture, the role they play in that culture and the shifts that might be needed to restore the culture.
- Helping leaders discover the role they play in the culture, which can sometimes include developing an appropriate exit strategy or a stay strategy to rebuild trust and confidence with their staff.
- Helping staff heal, rebuild trust and move forward positively which could include developing leave or stay strategies.
- Helping the organization identify strategies that will better address issues moving forward.
